Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions page!

Here you can view answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about our therapy services. Feel free to ask a question and we will e-mail you a reply!

How can I refer my child to your company?
Your child may be referred for therapy services by obtaining a written prescription from a pediatrician or specialist (neurologist, orthopedic, pulmonologist, gastroenterologist, opthalmologist, psychiatrist). A physician assistant (PA) and an advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP) working alongside a pediatrician or specialist may also refer your child for therapy services. We strongly encourage parents, caregivers, case managers, and social workers to take a strong, active, and involved role in all therapy and educational sessions.

How many times a week will my child receive therapy services?
The frequency and duration of treatment is contingent on the initial therapy evaluation performed by the therapist and authorized by the pediatrician or specialist. Typically, therapy services are provided 2 or 3 times per week for 30 to 60 minute treatment sessions at a time. Therapy services are authorized for 6 months at a time in most cases. After a 6 month initial certification period, a re-evaluation is conducted to determine if further treatment is necessary.

Who will pay for my child’s therapy services?
Most insurance companies will pay for therapy services as long as the therapy services are deemed medically necessary. Our company primarily accepts Florida Medicaid for reimbursement of therapy services. This includes, but is not limited to

Medicaid

Florida Net-pass

What are the benefits of having therapy services provided at home?
The home setting is the most functional and natural environment for your child. Our therapists seek given spots free from distractions in order to work on a one on one basis with your child in the comfort of your own home. Your child’s own toys are incorporated in the treatment session and parental / family education, training, and involvement becomes an essential part of the therapeutic process. Our therapists will dedicate as much individual time as needed for comprehensive evaluations and quality treatment services.

How long will my child need therapy?
Because every child is different and the rate of their functional and physical progress varies, we are unable to foresee how long your child will need therapy. However, throughout the initial evaluation and interview process, we will be able to estimate whether the course of treatment will be for the short term (a couple of months) or long term (over a year).

How can I significantly impact my child’s progress in therapy?
In order for you to optimize your child’s progress in therapy, we recommend that you make a 100% effort to be consistent and reliable with your child’s therapy schedule. Keeping scheduled therapy appointments and minimizing cancellations is essential. Your commitment to carry out home programs established by your child’s therapist and your consistency in implementing what the therapist has taught you and what you have observed the therapist doing with your child is also paramount. Keeping an open communication with your child’s therapist and asking questions will also be of great benefit.

Will my child’s information be kept confidential?
Our company is vigilant to protect your child’s healthcare information. No information regarding your child will be shared or distributed with any other person or organization without your signed authorization and consent. Our company strictly adheres to HIPAA guidelines. All parents will receive our company’s “Notice of Privacy Practices” prior to commencement of therapy services.
